DJ Muggs Collaborates with Belle Humble on new video for song "Safe"

"2013 has been a watershed year for the legendary experimental hip-hop and bass producer of Cypress Hill fame, DJ Muggs. On top of the January release latest album, Bass For Your Face via Ultra Records to favorable reviews, he's been working on his newest project Cross My Heart Hope To Die with Andrew Klineand Brevi, and dropping crazy collaborations and remixes in the interim with legends like Alchemist, A$AP Rocky and more. Now DJ Muggs brings us this gorgeous video for "Safe" featuring acclaimed UK songstress Belle Humble off his January electronic release.

Described as a "folkster basshead", Belle Humble lays down her smooth, honey-sweet vocals on an otherwise aggressively bass-heavy track, and the resulting sound is a beautiful contradiction. She went onto co-write and feature on a Freestylers single, that after being re-mixed by Flux Pavilion became the dubstep hit"Cracks" which has had 16 million views on Youtube. Since then she has been featuring and co-writing with some of the top guys in the Bass/ Dubstep scene including Sub Focus, Rudimental, Flux Pavilion (BBC Sound of 2012), 501, Cutline and is now working on her own artist album.

Set in a scenic California canyon, this clip for "Safe" is a tribute to la vie boheme complete with cowboys, bows and arrows, intricate feather headresses, Coachella-chic warrior princesses, and mesmerizing light tricks that could only be described as a desert mirage. The result is a trippy video with a monster dance beat.

DJ Muggs' Bass For Your Face album got love from Pitchfork, VIBE, Complex, XXL, JUICE Magazine, Beatport and many other prominent electronic music publications."
