October 13th marks the rise of the Un-Dead in Minneapolis/St. Paul.  Now in its 8th year, the Zombie Pub Crawl is set to take over St. Paul's Midway Stadium and Minneapolis' Cedar Ave.  Droves of flesh eating, beer drinking, music loving zombies will flood the streets with fake blood and a hunger for BRAAIIINNNNS...

The West Bank will be over-run by walkers.  Cedar Ave. from The Cabooze to Grumpy's Bar will be home to several stages and musical options from DJ sets to Metal, so you can find tunes to suit your zombie tastes.  The Cabooze Plaza will have several "big" name acts like, Gin Blossoms (BTW, that's an early show @ 6 pm) and Big Freida, with music inside to the wee hours of the morning.  I hope to still be on my feet for Sinden and Drankenstein, but that may be asking a lot.  Check out the full itinerary for a complete list of bars and bands.
 
Midway Stadium, aka Zombie Island, will be host to Phil a huge inflatable zombie, carnival rides and fireworks all night long.  Musical entertainment from acts like, Marijuana Deathsquads, RiFF RaFF and DMX will also fill the home of the St. Paul Saints.  Please note: Zombie island is NOT at Harriett Island as some have reported.

Our Zombie Pub Crawl is the World's Largest gathering of Zombies.  According to Guinness Book of World Records, the world record was set last year by the New Jersey Zombie Walk, with 4,093 Zombies.  The 2011 ZPC was bigger, but Guinness didn't buy it.  So, this year ZPC is going to make it official. At 8:00 pm at Midway Stadium an official rotting corpse count will put the title where it truly belongs, here in Minnesota.  ZPC is shooting for over 8,000 un-dead, to completely obliterate the current record.

As if all of this wasn't enough, ZPC is playing to our Minnesota Pride by teaming up with Grainbelt for a special edition "Brain Belt" beer supply.  My personal favorite adult libation gets a Zombified face-lift.  They will be available throughout the ZPC and at several local liquor stores. Oh, and be sure to practice your Zombie Chant:  What do we want?  BRAINS.  When do we want 'em?  BRAAAIIIINNNS!
